POLSON — Tom Bansak, aquatic ecologist and Assistant Director at the Flathead Lake Biological Station, will speak at the Friday, March 10, meeting of the Lake County Pachyderm Club beginning at noon at the Polson Rural Fire Department Building on Regatta Road. The title of his talk is “Shrimp, Salmon, Trout and Mussels: Invasive Seafood Chowder in Flathead Lake.”

POLSON —The March Friendship Table Dinner is on March 10 from 5-6:30 p.m. Polson Presbyterian Church is located across from the Linderman School. Come join us. This dinner is free and open to all.

POLSON — Want to make sure your fruit trees, shade trees and conifers all thrive this year and every year? Jack Stivers, Montana State University Lake County Extension Agent, and Rick Jennison, arborist, will teach a free tree care and maintenance class through Polson Adult Education at Polson High School, room 104, on March 13, 14, 15 and 16 from 6-8 p.m. The class will deal with understanding what your trees need and what you can do to keep them healthy. This is an opportunity for great networking and amazing conversations, so bring a friend. POLSON — The Community Dance on March 15 will include a celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, so wear green and bring some treats. The celebration and dance takes place at the Elks from 7-10 p.m. and Ken’s Country Combo will provide the music.

POLSON — During Red Cross Month in March, the American Red Cross encourages eligible donors to join in its lifesaving mission by giving blood. Since 1943, every U.S. president has designated March as Red Cross Month to recognize how the Red Cross helps people across the country and around the world. POLSON — The Polson Kiwanis Club’s speaker on March 16 will be Lake County Deputy County Attorney, Wally Congdon. Wally will talk about the current civil issues affecting Lake County citizens. The Polson Kiwanis Club meets the first and third Thursday each month at the KwaTaqNuk Resort, Koostatah Room from noon to 1 p.m.

POLSON — North Lake County Public Library presents Story Time on Thursdays for 3-5 year olds at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The one-hour program includes reading, rhymes, and crafts. This week’s story theme is “How do Dinosaurs Stay Friends?”

POLSON — North Lake County Public Library will host a free Internet Basics class on Tuesday, March 21, at 2 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m. in the library meeting room.

Library Specialist Heather Miles will present a basic overview of the Internet and how it works. Attendees are welcome to bring their own laptops or tablets to follow along. Also available will be a group of laptops for attendees who don’t have a device. Anyone of any age or skill level is invited to attend. North Lake County Public Library is located at 2 First Ave. E.

POLSON — North Lake County Public Library will celebrate Irish culture with a Celtic-themed coloring program for adults and teens on Wednesday, March 22. Angela has planned for two sessions (2:30 and 5:30 pm). Local harpist, Debbie Conrad, will provide background music. Angela has some beautiful pages ready to color – all supplies are provided and the program is free and open to the public.

POLSON — A free community dinner will be served at Fellowship Baptist Church, 2 Seventh Ave. E, on Thursday, March 23, at 6 p.m. The menu is Italian and everyone is welcome.
