Free Zen Meditation Class offered
POLSON — A special Introduction to Zen Meditation Class is being offered at the YogaHeart Studio, 314 Main Street, on Wednesday, March 9, at 7 p.m.

POLSON — North Lake County Library’s Storytime program includes stories, songs, movement, crafts and more. St. Pat’s Day celebrate at Masumola Club
POLSON —Join your friends and neighbors for St. Pat’s Day this Thursday, March 10, at the Masumola Club. The ShamRockers will entertain and hosts Stephanie and Don Clement, Steve and Brenda Olsen and Carmine Mowbray are providing corned beef and cabbage. We need folks to fill in with vegetables (especially the traditional carrots and potatoes,) salads and desserts. Food distribution: A – H dessert, I – O salad or vegetable, P – Z hot dish. POLSON — A free dinner will be served at Polson Presbyterian Church on March 11 from 5-6:30 p.m. Polson Presbyterian Church is located across from Linderman School. Come join us. This dinner is free and open to all.
Watch film at church movie night
POLSON — Fellowship Baptist Church, 2 Seventh Ave. E, will host a movie night on Friday, March 11, at 7 p.m. The film is “The War Room.” This is a great movie … come and watch it. All are welcome. Popcorn will be served.

Appreciate firefighters at ball
POLSON — The 15th annual Firefighters’ Appreciation Ball’s theme is “Hawaiian Heat.” It will be held on Saturday, March 12, at the KwaTaqNuk Resort with cocktails at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and dancing to follow by “Gladys Friday.” Tickets are $40 and the public is welcome. Learn about herbs
POLSON — “Thyme for Herbs” will meet Monday, March 14, at 7 p.m. in the North Lake County Public Library in Polson. We are inviting all new people who are interested in learning how to use herbs to enhance their health. The main topic will be: The Many Faces of Herbs.
We will review the value of the common herbs as sources of nutrients as well as other properties that directly support health. We are also working together to create family medicinal herb gardens. For information call Linda Peterson at 406-319-2446.

POLSON — There will be a community dance at the Elks Club on Wednesday, March 16, from 7-9 p.m. Ken’s Country Combo will provide the music. Join us for a great time. There will be no dance at the Elks Club on Wednesday, March 30.

POLSON — Come find a pot of gold-plated information at the next Resource Roundtable on March 16 at noon at the Lake County Health Department conference room. Speakers for the meeting will be Emily Colomeda and Linda Davis of Lake County Health Department. Lunch will be provided. Share the invitation with those who might be interested. Congdon to address Kiwanis meeting
POLSON — The Polson Kiwanis will meet Thursday, March 17, at the KwaTaqNuk in the Koostatah Room from noon-1 p.m. Our guest speaker will be Wally Congdon. He will speak about his position as Deputy County Attorney working on civil cases for Lake County and will also touch on ranching and farming in Montana.

Support PHS’s Senior Safe Night
POLSON — There will be a pancake breakfast fundraiser for a Polson High School’s Senior Safe Night Graduation Party. Help keep our kids safe. Breakfast will be held at the Elks’ Lodge from 7:30-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 19. The price is $7 per person; $5 each for a family of four or more; and $4 for kids under 10. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, juice and coffee will be served.

Polson IEC plans dinner, meeting
POLSON — The monthly meeting for Polson Indian Education Committee will be held on Monday, March 21, in the Polson Middle School cafeteria. Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 6 p.m. Childcare is provided.
Agenda items include, but are not limited to: high school graduation updates; budget requests - Afterschool Program, Kootenai Culture Program; by-law updates/changes; district reports; individual school reports; officer vacancy-election.

Science circus comes to Linderman
POLSON — The Circus of Science comes to Polson on Monday, March 21, from 5-7 p.m. in the Linderman Elementary Gymnasium. “Motion” is a fascinating exhibit for all ages, featuring hands-on exhibits and activities that explore the wonders of physics and engineering. This event is free, open to all and sponsored by Onward and Upward, Inc. and hosted by Linderman’s third grade team.
