Library offers free ‘purchasing technology’ class
POLSON — North Lake County Public Library in Polson is offering a free technology class on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 5:30 p.m. in the large meeting room. Everyone is welcome. The topic is “Do They Really Need that Gaming Computer? A Guide to Buying Technology for Christmas or Any Other Time” and will be taught by library specialist Heather Miles. NARFE celebrates Christmas, holds meeting
POLSON — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees, NARFE, is holding its annual Christmas Party at noon, Dec. 14 at Pop’s Grill in Polson. A meal is available from the menu. Following lunch there will be a program featuring Barbara Monaco, the Chief Juvenile Probation Officer. A brief business meeting will follow the program.
Rural fire group to meet
POLSON — The Polson Rural Fire District meeting is scheduled for Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. at the fairgrounds station.

Compete in hoop shoot, free throw contest
POLSON — Mission Valley Elks Hoop Shoot and Free Throw contest will be held Sunday, Dec. 18, at Linderman Gymnasium for boys and girls ages 8-13 years of age (as of April 1, 2017). POLSON — The Community Dance will be held Wednesday, Dec. 21, at the Elks Club from 7-10 p.m. Ken’s Country Combo will provide live music.
Lake County Republican Women to meet
POLSON — The Lake County Republican Women will meet Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the Sheriff’s room at the Polson Rural Fire Department building on Regatta Road near the fairgrounds in Polson. All current members, past members, associate members, and prospective members are invited to attend. A slate of officers for the coming year will be presented for election. Events will be planned and put on the 2017 calendar. Please bring suggestions for program speakers. In addition to a full business agenda, refreshments will be served. Fellowship in keeping with the Christmas season is promised. Come and enjoy.

Christmas celebrated at the museum
POLSON — The monthly free “Night at the Museum” takes place every fourth Thursday evening of each month at 6:30 p.m. It is held at the Miracle of America Museum, at 36094 Memory Lane. On Dec. 22 we will sing Christmas carols, have a reading of the Christmas story and show “Mr. Krueger’s Christmas,” starring Jimmy Stewart. Treats and donations are appreciated.
