POLSON — Linderman School will again honor our veterans on Nov. 11. We are inviting all veterans to our assembly and for lunch following it. Halls are being decorated now and we are looking for more photographs and stories.

POLSON — "The Nature of Night:  What We've Lost, What We've Found" by John Ashley will be Mission Mountain Audubon's next evening program on Thursday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. in the North Lake County Library meeting room. Everyone is welcome. 

POLSON — The November Friendship Table Dinner is on Friday, Nov. 13, from 5-6:30 p.m. at Polson Presbyterian Church, located across from the Linderman School. Come join us. This dinner is free and open to all.

POLSON — The fourth annual “Hunter Widows' Holiday Bazaar’ will take place on Sunday, Nov. 15, at the Elks Lodge, 512 Main Street, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Get an early start on all of your holiday shopping needs. All kinds of vendors showcasing their items will be in one convenient location. Admission is free but nonperishable food donations will be collected. All proceeds from vendor table fees and food donations will be donated to local food banks. For more information call 406-249-3373.

POLSON – The Flathead Reservation Area Historical Society will hold a meeting on Monday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m. in the large conference room of the Lake County Court House. All members and interested community members are invited to attend.

POLSON — On Tuesday, Nov. 17, the Lake County Health Department’s Parents as Teachers program’s Community Connection for November will focus on “Turkey Fun” with an art activity and snacks. This community event will take place from 2-3:30 p.m. in the Public Health Department’s conference room, 801 Main Street. Pregnant moms and families with children under the age of 5 are welcome to attend this free program. This is a good chance to meet other families with young children and to learn more about the free Parents as Teachers Home Visiting program. Call LCPH at 406-883-7288, for more information.

POLSON — Lake County Democrats will hold a business meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 18, to discuss issues regarding the upcoming 2016 election. The meeting will be at the North Lake County Public Library in Polson. A social hour with refreshments begins at 6:30 p.m. with the business meeting starting at 7 p.m. If you have questions, call 406-599-4087.

POLSON — Members of the Flathead Basin Commission will meet on Nov. 18 from 10 a.m.-3:45 p.m. at Lake County Environmental Health building, 106 Fourth Ave. E. The meeting will focus on FBC specific issues, including but not limited to: FBC administration and funding; and pending FBC Action Plan for 2016-2020. Two afternoon presentations are also planned. 

POLSON — Mission Valley Christian Academy is having a special “Grandparents Day” on Friday, Nov. 20, from 8:15 a.m.-1 p.m. Grandparents of MVCA students are invited to come experience a day at school. Call 406-883-6858 to RSVP. 

POLSON — An International Survivor of Suicide Loss Day meeting will take place on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 2–4:30 p.m. at Polson Health and Rehabilitation Center, 9 Fourteenth Ave. W. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Montana Chapter – ‘You are Not Alone’ is sponsoring this event. Whether you are recently bereaved or years along in your grief journey, Survivor Day is the one day a year when we gather at events all over the world to heal, to support each other, and to remind ourselves that we are not alone.

POLSON — Masumola Club will meet on Saturday, Nov. 21, for social time at 5:45 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. Toni Young will present a program on Share the Spirit. Hosts for the meeting, Sohms and Clemens, will provide three kinds of turkey plus Jim’s famous Tom and Jerrys. MISSION VALLEY — The Elks hoop shoot free throw contest will take place on Nov. 22 in Linderman Gymnasium. The event is open to boys and girls ages 8-13 years old, (as of April 1, 2016), in Polson, Ronan and surrounding areas. There is no cost to participate and no admission fee will be charged. Winners of each age group will advance to the district contest on Dec. 6 in Pablo. For more details, call 406-250-0771.
