Fitness for kids’ program starts
PABLO — Salish Kootenai College's “Making Fitness Fun Program” (open to youth 7 years and older) begins Monday, June 12 and goes from 8:30 a.m.-noon, Monday through Thursday, until Aug. 17. The program will be held at the Salish Kootenai College Joe McDonald Gymnasium. Physical activities will be provided in-between breakfast and lunch. Activities include: swimming, kickball, football, basketball, dodge ball, Native games, volleyball, soccer, shinny, bike riding and gardening. Activities are intended to keep kids busy and active during the summer months. Transportation is provided Monday through Thursday to Ronan and Polson Boys and Girls Clubs daily at about noon. Sensory processing explained
PABLO — What exactly is “Sensory Processing?” Cyndi Elliott will explain sensory processing development at a free presentation that is open to the public on Tuesday, June 13, from 9-11 a.m. This is part of the Best Beginning Children’s Partnership serving the Flathead Reservation. Help raise funds for Boys’ and Girls’ Club
PABLO — Test drive a Ford and Don Aadsen Ford will donate $20 to the Boys’ and Girls’ Club Summer Program. Go to Joe McDonald Health and Fitness Center parking lot on the SKC Campus on June 24, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and help raise $6000 for the Boys’ and Girls’ Club by taking a simple test-drive.
