Salish Kootenai College to host meet and greet for candidates
PABLO — The Board of Directors of Salish Kootenai College announce the candidates for the President position, including applicants Carmen Taylor, Robert Depoe III, Steve Dupuis, Gyda Swaney and Sandra Boham.
All candidates are tribal members of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes and will be interviewed starting Wednesday, May 29.
Following each interview, each candidate will be available for a meet-and-greet session with SKC faculty and staff in the south lobby of the Big Knife building. All those that are interested are invited to meet each applicant. A tour of the SKC campus will follow.
Scheduling to meet each candidate is as follows:
Wednesday, May 29: Carmen Taylor, 11a.m.; Gyda Swaney, 3 p.m. Thursday, May 30: Steve Dupuis, 11a.m.; Robert Depoe III, 3 p.m. Friday, May 31: Sandra Boham, 11 a.m.
The SKC Board of Directors remains optimistic that a selection will be made in early June.

Democrats gather for spring dessert social
PABLO — Join Lake County Democrats on Tuesday, June 4, from 7-9 p.m. at the Louie Caye, Sr. Center on the Salish Kootenai College Campus for a spring dessert social and legislative review.
Jim Elliot, Chairman of the Montana Democratic Party and Lauren Cauldwell, Director of the Montana Legislative Campaign Committee will discuss the recent 2013 legislative session.
A donation of $10 at the door will help support future local Democratic candidates and education outreach programs.
