Interested persons invited to FIIP meeting
PABLO — The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Office of Trust Services, Division of Water and Power is conducting a Modernization Study of the Flathead Indian Irrigation Project. The BIA would like to invite representatives and individuals with an interest in FIIP operations to participate in meetings to discuss the draft results of that work.
Meetings will be held at the Camas Conference Room, Joe McDonald Center, Salish and Kootenai College, from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13 and from 8 a.m.-noon on Thursday, April 14.
Rural Development invites community
PABLO — All community members are invited to Open Office Days for USDA Rural Development from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 13, at Salish Kootenai Housing Authority in Pablo.
USDA Rural Developments provide loan and/or grant programs for homeownership, rental assistance, home repair and rehab, essential community facilities, water and waste facilities and business expansions and acquisitions.

‘Paper Tigers’ shown at SKC
PABLO — “Paper Tigers,” the acclaimed documentary film by James Redford, will be shown at the Johnny Arlee/Victor Charlo Theater at Salish Kootenai College on Friday, April 15, at 11:30 a.m. Those who arrive early (around 11 a.m.) will receive a complimentary lunch provided by the SKC Psychology Department. The film depicts the dramatic transformation in troubled teens when the staff at their school incorporates the findings from the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study into their education and support services.

Learn to swing dance with 4-H group
PABLO — On Friday, April 15, the 4-H Student Exchange Group is holding a community dance at the North Crow Clubhouse. Swing dance instruction will be available from 5-6 p.m. and then general dancing will follow until 10 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids – a maximum of $30 for a family. Some simple snacks will be available for sale. Please come support this group as they venture out of our area to find new experiences and bring people here to see how we live. PABLO — Superintendent of Public Instruction and U.S. House candidate Denise Juneau is hosting a free community dinner Tuesday, April 19, at 5:30 p.m. at the People’s Center. All are welcome.

Plan for retirement
PABLO — Bret Richardson will host a free presentation on planning for retirement and the process of retiring. The event is not a sell or solicitation event but simply an educational seminar. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers and will include cupcakes and coffee. The event will be held in Pablo on Friday, April 22, at 10 a.m. in the Mission Valley Power conference room. Please use the east entrance.
