Celebrate at Flathead Lake State Park’s Fall Fest
KALISPELL — On Saturday, Oct. 12, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Flathead Lake State Park is holding its annual Fall Fest to celebrate the coming of fall with all the changes it brings to the park with ‘S’mores and Stories.’ Bring a chair and come sit around the fire to roast hot dogs and s’mores and listen to our ‘Wonders of Fall’ 30-minute program at 11 a.m. and again at 1 p.m.
The event will include food, warm beverages, games like Pop the Prey and Guess How Many, crafts such as mask designing and face painting, prizes, wagon rides and fun for the whole family.
We invite all visitors to wear their favorite fall flannels for some fun family photos. There is no cost to attend the event, and no reservations required.

KALISPELL — Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is hosting educational programs at Lone Pine State Park in October. Lone Pine State Park is 5 miles southwest of Kalispell and offers views of the valley. On Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10-11 a.m., learn about nature’s most important clean-up crew, the decomposers. Explore how decomposers break down plants and animals, nourishing the soil and keeping ecosystems balanced. Space is limited; register-call 406-755-2706.

KALISPELL — Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is hosting educational programs at Lone Pine State Park in October. Lone Pine State Park is 5 miles southwest of Kalispell and offers views of the valley, 7.5 miles of trails, and an interpretive center with information on living in a wildlife-urban interface. Don’t miss your chance to meet our resident bull snake, Camo, up close and personal on Sunday, Oct. 20. Join us for Sundays with Camo and learn about the incredible world of snakes and their crucial role in maintaining balance in our ecosystems. You’ll also get to witness Camo’s weekly feeding, an opportunity to confront your fears and discover why snakes, though often misunderstood, are indispensable to nature.
