“Young Lakota” screened in Pablo, Arlee and Elmo
PABLO — The Adeline Mathias Endowment and the CSKT Community Empowerment Program present three Flathead Reservation screenings of “Young Lakota,” a documentary on real life political issues focused on women's rights and tribal awareness. Everyone is invited to participate in these free screenings scheduled for Dec. 10, 11 and 12 in Pablo, Arlee and Elmo.
The program begins at 6 p.m. with light refreshments, and the show starts at 6:30. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, Dec. 10 SKC Johnny Arlee/Victor Charlo Theater; Wednesday, Dec. 11 Arlee Community Center; and Thursday, Dec. 12 Elmo Community Center.
This film depicts an actual account of tribal politics with a very powerful message for the tribal electorate.
The Adeline Mathias Endowment supports Indian and women's rights advocacy and hopes to inspire Get Out The Vote in the General election. “Young Lakota” is a great primer for a political awakening on the Flathead Reservation. Everyone is invited, admission is free, but we will kindly accept nonperishable food donations for local food pantries.
For more information on the film, visit www.incite-pictures.com/in-production. For screenings, call Velda or Pearl at 207-4626.
