PAT group provides information
ARLEE — The Parents as Teachers program of the Lake County Public Health Department is sponsoring a Playgroup at the Hangin’ Art Gallery in Arlee on Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 10-11:30 a.m. Pregnant and parenting moms and their children who under 5 years old are invited to learn more about the PAT program. Dads can come, as well.
There will be activities, information and yummy food. The PAT program is a free, voluntary program that provides twice monthly home visits with age-appropriate activities for children from birth to age five, developmental screenings, and information and referrals to area resources. Moms can enroll in the PAT program as soon as they are pregnant. See you on Wednesday, Nov. 12 and Wednesday, Nov. 29, in Arlee. Developmental Screening on tap
ARLEE — A free Developmental and Preschool Screening Clinic for children ages 0-5 years of age will take place in the Arlee School District will be held on Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Arlee Headstart (406) 726-3273, from noon-2 p.m. Please call to schedule an appointment for your child’s screening or to receive more information. This free screening will include gross motor, fine motor, language concepts, communication skills, communication concepts, hearing and vision screening.

Free playwriting workshop offered
ARLEE — William S. Yellow Robe, Jr., artistic director of the Bearhead Swaney Inter-Tribal Playwrights’ Center, will conduct a series of individual sessions regarding playwriting and other forms of literature, Monday through Friday, Nov. 17-21 at Hangin Art Gallery on Highway 93 in downtown Arlee. Be entertained by MCT, Arlee students
ARLEE — This Saturday, November 22, audiences will skip down the “Yellow Brick Road” with Dorothy and her friends when the Missoula Children’s Theatre and more than 50 local students perform an original musical adaptation of the timeless favorite, “The Wizard of Oz.” Showtime is 7 p.m. and will be performed at the old Arlee High School Gym Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students and $15 for a family. Tickets will be available at the door.
