ARLEE – Montana Teacher of the Year Anna Baldwin sold all of the special $10 tickets to the Osprey game held in Missoula on Saturday, Aug. 2, where she threw the first pitch.
Proceeds from the tickets raised $500 for the Arlee youth baseball and softball teams’ field, which is covered in weeds. The bleachers are also in need of repair.
Baldwin was grateful for the support; she said she thought she would be lucky to get rid of a quarter of them.
Baldwin said she has done many things as the Teacher of the Year, but raising money through this event for the kids has been especially important to her.
“I’ve done a lot of stuff this year but the money for this will directly affect youth,” she said.
