Editor,
On Election Day, do you ever wish you knew more about the candidates? Lake County voters have a grand opportunity to meet and hear all the GOP candidates who have filed for state and national offices at a meet-and-greet picnic, Saturday, Aug. 13, at 11 a.m. at the Ronan Community Center. Candidates will be circulating from 11 a.m. until the catered picnic is served at noon.
During the program, each candidate will be sharing his vision of what he can do to put our state and nation back on the right track.
Those candidates for Governor who will be on the June primary ballot and plan to attend are: former U.S. Representative Rick Hill; former and present legislator Neil Livingstone and his running mate for Lieutenant Governor, Ryan Zinke; Ken Miller; Jim O'Hara; and Corey
Stapleton. Also attending are Scott Aspenlieder, running for Secretary of State, and Jim Schockley for Attorney General. Meet Steve Daines, who is vying for the U.S. House of Representative's seat currently held by Congressman Denny Rehberg. Rep. Rehberg is opposing Senator Jon Tester for the U.S. Senate.
If we are to remain a nation of, by and for the people, voters must know for whom they are voting. Be informed. Join us for the GOP's Grand Old Picnic Aug. 13. Deadline for tickets is Aug. 9, and none will be sold at the door.
Contact Lynette at 849-5053 or Mimi at 849-5944 if you wish to purchase tickets.
