RONAN – After shutting out Troy twice in Saturday’s double-header, the Maidens have clinched a number-two seed into next week’s Western B-C Divisional tournament and a bye into the semifinals, bringing their season record to a final 15-5, 14-4 in league play.
In game one against Troy, the Maidens toppled the Lady Trojans 13-0 with crafty pitching from Alaina Madsen, only giving up one hit, and Courtney Taylor’s 2-3 game driving in three for her team.
In the nightcap the Maidens scorched Troy 18-0 with five Maidens logging a pair of RBIs each. Madsen allowed only two hits from the circle and McKenzie Dulmes, Danielle Richwine, and Kaitlyn Sassaman each landed on second with a double.
Two-day Divisional play starts May 23 for the Maidens, hosted at their very own home field.
