POLSON— The Lady Pirates blazed through the week with ease, picking up victories along the way.
On Thursday the Lady Pirates made their way up to Kalispell only to pound the AA Kalispell Glacier Lady Wolfpack with multiple homeruns and taking the 11-1 win. Polson’s Jessica Bagnell not only grabbed the pitching win but she also had a three-run homerun with five runs batted in total. Taylor Brackey didn’t just do it once, but twice she knocked it over, coming away with a pair of four baggers for the day. Sarah Rausch added a homerun of her own.
Saturday the Lady Pirates hosted Columbia Falls in front of home fans coming to cheer Polson on for Senior Night. The Lady Pirates didn’t disappoint, snagging the 7-3 win over the Wildkats. Catcher Jaylin Kenney led her team at the plate going 3-4 while Hannah Potter went 2-3 with two doubles.
The Lady Pirates will head to Butte May 16-17 for some tournament play at the Butte Invitational and then onto Whitefish May 20.
