Four injured in Charlo school bus wreck

CHARLO — Three children and an adult sustained minor injuries in a collision between a pickup truck and a school bus early this morning near Charlo.
According to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Tony Isbell a Charlo District School bus was westbound on Highway 212 when it stopped at a railroad crossing at approximately 7:50 a.m. A pickup truck rear-ended the bus that contained 17 students. No children on the bus were injured.
Superintendent Thom Peck said Charlo Principal Steve Love was the driver of the truck. Love’s three children sustained minor injuries and were backboarded onto stretchers and taken to St. Luke Community Hospital in Ronan for treatment.
