RONAN — No one was injured in an April 14 explosion of a propane tank on Glacier Lily Road.
Resident Dee Anderson said she heard the blast from two miles away at approximately 3:15 p.m.
According to Ronan Volunteer Fire Department Chief Mark Clary, embers melted through a plastic wheelbarrow and sparked a grass fire. The fire burned into a shed of lawn equipment and a separate wood shed, and caused a 40-pound propane tank to explode.
The blast prompted neighbors to call the fire department.
"Parts of the tank we found 300 feet from where it blew up," Clary said.
The homeowners were not home at the time of the blast.
