Chiefs shut out Darby on tennis courts, Maidens struggle

RONAN – The Chiefs overpowered Darby on Saturday with all six matches ending in wins for Ronan boys. Logan Soukkala walked away with a 6-0, 6-0 match as did doubles team Daniel Aylesworth and Ethan Belvins.
On Tuesday the girls took a split in St. Ignatius, logging 3-3 against Mission’s Lady Bulldogs. Maiden BreAnn Turpin won her match and the other two wins were the result of forfeits. Lady Bulldogs Briar Ahlborn, Kayla Billette, and Daisie VandenBos each took home a win for Mission.
The Maidens had a bit of tough luck on the courts Saturday, finding the shutout on their side of the net and taking a 0-5 loss for the day.
Ronan will host Columbia Falls April 8 and then travel to Troy April 15.
