News from the Life Savers Animal Rescue
POLSON — Life Savers Animal Rescue is getting ready for their first chair auction, which is taking place this summer. We need help from the community to reach our goal of 20 items. If anyone has a chair, stool or bench (wooden or metal) that they would like to donate, please bring it to South Shore Vet, 35768 S. Hills Dr in Polson, or Access Montana, 63540 Hwy 93 next to True Value in Ronan. Remember a chair seat might make a unique shelf or a chair bottom could become a footstool, so even a broken chair might have a new purpose.
If you would like to decorate a chair, stool or bench prior to donating it, that would be great. Call Karen with LSAR at (406) 250-5959 and just let us know so we will have you on the list.
As we collect donated chairs, we will need talented artists in the Valley to volunteer to help repurpose them. Remember you can decorate an item for any room in the house, porch, or garden. We are asking that all completed items be returned to Karen Duty for the auction by the week of June 15. The chairs will be on display around Polson and will be up for silent auction. The end of the auction will take place at the Polson Summer Festival August 10.
