POLSON — “I will be gone for a week, visiting family in Minne-snow-ta. That’s all the way across Nordakota, dontcha know. In my absence my cousin, Gertie, from Booger Bottom will be writing the column. I showed her all the fine techniques of journalism so she should do just fine. A week ago she cudn’t even spell columnist and now she are one.”
There are only a few more weeks to get your taxes done. We have several preparers waiting with their pencils sharpened. Don’t procrastinate. Maybe you’d rather owe it to them than try to beat them out of it, but take my word for it, it doesn’t work.
“Bingo!” shouted the lady at the table behind me as I was looking for that last number. This Friday I swear I’ll win the $100 blackout game. The fun begins at 7 p.m. Come join in.
Our exercise group meets every Mon., Wed. and Fri. at 10:30 a.m.
A warm thank you goes to Duford Tire for fixing the flat on my aluminum can hauling trailer so I could get to Missoula before they closed.

• Thursday, April 3: meatloaf with whipped potatoes
• Friday, April 4: taco soup
• Monday, April 7: spaghetti
• Tuesday, April 8: steak and gravy over noodles
• Wednesday, April 9: enchiladas
Bridge winners on March 14 were Bob Gorsuch, first, and wife, Doris, second. On March 18 they switched places. Also on March 18, Max Neeley took first and Donna Cason took second.
On March 25 it was Euva Johns who was first and Bob Gorsuch who was second.
The Tuesday senior bowlers will wind down their season in a few more weeks and they’re still tossing some fine games. High scratch series winners were Larry Alter at 755 and Cris Alter 709. High handicap series winners were Larry Alter with 755 and Diana Sawyer with 709. Bowlers with high games were
Larry Alter at 290; Cris Alter at 254; Larry Lawin at 231;
Cindy Lawin at 224; Jim Funke at 210; Keith Ross at 203; and
Don Young at 200.
