POLSON — In a short meeting on March 3, Polson City Commissioners unanimously approved Resolution 1054, designating April 1, 2014, as National Service Recognition Day.
This is the second year for NSRD across the nation with 832 mayors across the United States participating last year.
In a later phone interview, Polson Mayor Heather Knutson said tentative plans for April 1 include a meeting at the North Lake County Library District meeting room to read the proclamation. Then Polson’s previous mayors will be honored for their service.
The next city commission meeting will be held March 17 at Polson City Hall at 7 p.m.
