RONAN — Pioneer Days Company is offering two $500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors. One will be specifically for a Ronan High School senior and the other will be for any graduating high school senior in Lake County. We are looking for new innovative ideas for community events sponsored by Pioneer Days Company. This idea needs to be submitted in the form of an essay with 500 to 1,000 words that considers all aspects of the event from start to finish. This essay must be postmarked by May 1, 2014 and winners will be announced by May 15, 2014. Please mail your essays to Ronan Pioneer Days Company at P.O. Box 144, Ronan. This scholarship is funded by proceeds from the 2013 50/50 button sales. Know that Ronan Pioneer Days reserves the right to use any of the submitted ideas.
