POLSON — Ah, I think I see a light at the end of the tunnel. But the last time I saw that it turned out to be the Polar Express. However, we are having our famous corned beef and cabbage lunch on Friday, March 14. Can spring be far behind?
Clear streets, a little sunshine and a robin sighting would go a long way toward improving my disposition. I could even put up with a few potholes.
Tired of icy, snow-covered streets? I think our street crew has done a great job of plowing, given the conditions. Kudos go to Terry Gembala, Bill Smith and John Hart.
Incidentally, although I should have mentioned it earlier, if you need help clearing sidewalks call Heather with the National Honor Society at (406) 883-6351 ext. 240. They have strapping young lads and lassies that are eager to help.
A special thank you goes to Dave Nash for the donated beef, honey and eggs. It's great people like you who help us stay afloat. And also, thanks to Frank’s Meats in Pablo who processes the meat.

• Thursday, March 13:
sausage gravy over biscuits
• Friday, March 14: famous corned beef, cabbage for Ol’e St. Paddy’s Day lunch, Wear your greenest finery.
• Monday, March 17: Manwiches and potato patties
• Tuesday, March 18: hamburger steak w/whipped potatoes
• Wednesday, March 19: French dips, monsieur
Our tax preparers are in Polson on Mondays and Thursdays. Call for an appointment.
The AARP driving classes will resume on April 22. They begin at 9 a.m., break for lunch and finish after. Come before 9 a.m. to be ready by class time. Call to be added to the list.
We transport our aluminum cans to Missoula occasionally and would appreciate the use of someone’s cargo trailer or small horse trailer. Please call the senior center if you can help.
Every Friday night we have bingo beginning at 7 p.m. Come join the fun. Our exercise group meets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:30 a.m.
Dean Greiner had the high score at Tuesday’s bridge with Doris Gorsuch placing second.
Tuesday afternoon senior bowling league scores for high scratch series are: Larry Lawin 650 and Cris Alter 604 and for high handicap series are: Larry Lawin 770 and Ray Theiler 684 and for high games: Larry Lawin 245; Cris Alter 242; Keith Ross. 241; Ray Theiler 234; Don Young 233; Jack Adamson 233; Larry Alter 229 and Brenda Williams 211.
