RONAN — Well, just as we get a good whine going about the snow and cold weather, Mother Nature does a flip and we begin to think that spring has arrived. This leads some truth to the old saying: If you don’t like the weather in Montana, wait a minute and it will change.
The foot clinic is on Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 10 a.m. to noon. You don’t need an appointment and it is on a “first come, first served basis.” There is not a cost for this, but donations are always appreciated.
Our birthday dinner is on Friday, Feb. 28, and then the month will be over. We will serve roast beef and the band will be here to play wonderful music for us.
A big thanks goes to the Saddle Mountain 4-H Club. They made Valentine’s Day treats for our homebound seniors. They have done this several times in the past and their thoughtfulness and creativity is always enjoyed and appreciated
Another big thanks goes to all who donated for the signs. As soon as the weather permits we will have the signs mounted on the building.
I will be retiring at the end of April and we are looking for someone to fill the position of nutrition director and site manager. This is part-time work and applicants must have at least basic computer and booking skills. If interested, stop by the center, 528 Main St. SW, and pick up an application before the end of the month.
Our menu for the rest of the month is:
• Wednesday, Feb. 19: Swiss steak
• Friday, Feb. 21: meatballs in gravy
• Monday, Feb. 24: cheesey tuna noodle bake
• Wednesday, Feb. 26: turkey and dressing casserole
• Friday, Feb. 28: roast beef
Feel free to join us for any of our meals and any of our activities. You don’t have to be a senior to enjoy the food and friendship here at the center. We serve meals at noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and have an evening meal at 5 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month.
Have a great week, and remember that Spring is getting closer every day.
