Fundraiser showcases authors
News from Mission Valley Christian Academy
POLSON — A “Meet the Author Night” fundraiser at Mission Valley Christian Academy will take place at the school on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 2-8 p.m.
The entrance fee is $5, plus $5 for a dinner of soup or chili, homemade roll, dessert and beverage, served from 5-7 p.m.
Authors presenting include Carmine Mowbray, “An Answering Flame;” Ellen Gunderson Traylor of Port Hole Publications; Jess E. Owen, “Song of the Summer King;” Ron Valiquette, “Dancing with Celia;” Paul Fugelberg, “Among Other Things;” Joyce Albert, “The Fair Sombrero;” Aaron Traylor, “The DJ Chronicles: A Life Remixed;” Chris Dawson, “Alex the Sea Turtle;” Joyce Decker Wegner, author of Lake County School History books; and Natasha Moore: Children’s books, translated from German Attractions.
Fugelberg will display a collection of Henry Schnitzmeyer photos.
A slide show of the Lake County School History photos will be presented. Shawn Kenelty will be selling Usborne Books.
A table of various gently used books will be offered free for the taking. Anna Dupuis and some students will be performing music at various times throughout the evening.
