DIXON — Do you know that just a few miles down the road, on the way to Missoula (and when you get there) it’s been in the 40’s and bright sunshine? I was there when it was 45 degrees and by the time I got to Arlee it was 25 degrees. It’s often just the opposite and I’m in the “banana belt,” so maybe it evens out. Anyway, we’re heading closer to spring and I’m hoping if we’re going to get real winter, let it happen during the season. The trees and other plants are so gorgeous covered with frost; like a Christmas card.
This is a good time to come to Dixon for a meal out. The roads are clear and the food is delicious. Pay only $4 and you can take some food home or to a neighbor.

We’ve received news from Joyce Siers, who recently moved with husband Don to the Veteran’s Home in Columbia Falls. She is nicely settled in and is comfortably cared for with lots of people to interact with as desired. We all miss Don, who passed on recently, but are happy that Joyce has a nice place to stay near her family. She would love to hear from friends.
It’s almost February, the month of Presidents, Valentine’s Day, Groundhog’s Day and other special days. This was my favorite month when I was teaching school.
Have a safe and interesting rest of the month.
