CHARLO – The Lady Vikings are looking stronger and stronger every time they take the court. The talented squad uses its defensive presence along with a deep bench of impressive scorers to continually down opponents as the season wears on.
Last week, Charlo had it easy, only playing 14-C foe Noxon at home, where the Lady Vikings shot out of the gate to lead early and eventually wrapped up a 48-29 win.
Charlo led 23-14 at the half and didn’t give any ground in the second half, outscoring Noxon 16-10 in the third. The Lady Vikings finished the game on a 9-5 run in the fourth to pick up the 48-29 win.
Deondra Brown paced Charlo with an impressive 20-point performance, while Rachel Hoyt added 12 and Jordan Ludeman picked up 10.
For the Red Devils, Cara Stettler led the way with 10 points, while Jordyn Wilkinson finished with eight. Kim Marich put up five points.
Charlo played Mission Jan. 30 and plays Superior at home Feb. 3 and Philipsburg Feb. 4 on senior night.
