News from the Flathead Reservation Human Rights Coalition
LAKE COUNTY — The Flathead Reservation Human Rights Coalition is sponsoring a Martin Luther King Day essay contest for grades 7-12. Entrants must explain in 250 words or less what the following quote by Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. means to them and how they might personally implement it into their daily and/or future life:
“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”
Only one entry per student allowed, and writing must be typewritten. On the back of the entry include name, age, grade, and telephone number. Writing must be the work of the entrant. There is no fee to enter the contest. Winners will be announced prior to Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Entries are due Jan. 8, 2014.
