RONAN — Authorities believe alcohol was a factor in a one vehicle wreck on Sloan Road at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Aaron Day said.
Day said that alcohol and narcotics involvement is still under investigation.
Tammy Stack, the driver of a gray 2008 Hummer H3, crashed the vehicle into a field and a fence after shifting off the road and rolling it over.
Stack was taken to St. Luke Community Hospital as a precautionary measure given the severe nature of the crash, but Day believes that the injuries were minor. The side airbags were deployed in the crash.
Day said that he believed the vehicle to be totaled with extensive damages to the front and roof of the vehicle.
Authorities presume that Stack was wearing a seatbelt as she was not ousted from the vehicle upon impact.
Day also said that citations are pending the alcohol and drug investigation.
The Ronan Volunteer Fire Department, Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Montana Highway Patrol and the Ronan Ambulance responded to the call.
