Eight Polson football players named to All-State team

After finishing the regular season with an undefeated record, the Polson Pirate football team had eight athletes named to the Class A All-State team. On the offensive line, Polson guards Josiah Clairmont and Riley Sampson were awarded the top two spots for the Northwestern region. Junior Polson tackle Dan LaFranier was also named first team All-State.

In the quarterback position, Vince DiGiallonardo also received All-State recognition, as he capped off a successful career at Polson.

On defense, senior inside linebacker Brock Bleazard made the All-State team, while junior safety Will Davey also received the prestigious award.

Defensive end Eric Williamson, and outside linebacker Paul McClurg were given All-State honors.

Vince DiGiallonardo was named offensive most valuable player for Class A, while Paul McClurg was awarded defensive most valuable player.
