News from the Miracle of America Museum

POLSON — On a trial basis, the Miracle of America Museum will be hosting an activity night on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The events are free to the public, although donations are accepted. Participants are welcome to bring cookies or other treats to share.

On Thursday, Nov. 14, the program is titled “Meet David Polson,” with a presentation that Gil has given twice at the “Stories and Stones” annual program at the Missoula cemetery. Learn why the Polson family is buried in Missoula and other interesting facts that Gil has recently learned by “digging up stones” — figuratively, of course. A short tour of some recently displayed historic photos of Polson and surrounding area with interesting facts is also in store.

The Dec. 12 program will be a classic short movie starring Jimmy Stewart and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in “Mr. Kruegers Christmas,” followed by a poem written during WWII by the Lake County Superintendent of Schools. If you have a favorite Christmas poem, we invite you to share. A piano is available if your family wants to play and sing.

If you’d like to be a part of a future program, or have an idea, please call Gil at (406) 883-6804 or (406) 270-7895. Programs should be no longer than two hours.
