LAKESIDE — Real estate professionals can earn four continuing education credits on Wednesday, Oct. 30. The Flathead Lakers and the Clark Fork Coalition will co-host two courses on “Living Near Water” at the Lakeside QRU Community Hall on Bills Road. The courses are designed for real estate professionals and are accredited by the Montana Board of Realty Regulation. The courses will provide information about the science, regulations, and best practices for people who live near streams, wetlands, or lakes. The day will open with a two-credit course, “Maximizing the Value of Lakeside Property,” taught by Clark Fork Coalition science director, Dr. Chris Brick. After lunch, attendees can then participate in a second two-credit field course, “In the Field: Do’s and Don’ts,” which will take them to various locations in and around Lakeside. Speakers for the field course include Flathead Lakers Education and Outreach Coordinator Heidi Sedivy and Andrew Beltz, a watershed restoration specialist with Forestoration, Inc. Transportation will be provided or participants can carpool in their own vehicles. The courses are free and open to any real estate professional.
