Charlo’s Lady Vikings continue the fight

HOT SPRINGS – Charlo put up quite a battle on the volleyball court against Hot Springs on Thursday. Though the Lady Vikings came up short they raised fierce competition in the 2-3 game. Each set was close, keeping the Lady Savage Heat on their toes.
Lady Viking seniors Connor Smith and Alyssa Doty combined for 34 digs with 17 a piece, out of the team total 82. Senior Aspen Runkel led the team with eight kills and six aces.
Thursday’s game brought Noxon to Lady Vikings’ country as the girls defended their homeland. The Lady Vikings took the first three sets sending the Lady Red Devils home with a 3-0 loss.
Connor Smith dominated the serve line with 11 of the Lady Vikings 16 aces.
Charlo junior Shayna Nagy came away with eight assists and senior Michaela Krahn had 15 digs.
Lady Vikings will host Drummond Sept. 19 and St. Regis Sept. 24.
