Charlo School District has one new teacher. Bonnie Perry will teach kindergarten at Charlo Elementary. She was born and raised in the Mission Valley and recently moved back to the area after two years in Douglas, Wyo. She previously taught in Polson.
Perry is a graduate of Charlo High School and Salish Kootenai College. She holds a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Montana and is completing coursework for a special education endorsement from the University of Montana Western and Salish Kootenai College.
She and her husband Sterling have four children: Sabin, Sander, Sidra and Shaedon. In her spare time Perry runs, shoots, spends time with her children in the outdoors, and scrapbooks.
Perry said her favorite part of teaching is “collaborating with colleagues to create unique learning environments through which our students can implement classroom academics into real world situations.”
