POLSON — The Polson Middle School faculty and students are sponsoring raffle baskets to benefit the Berry family. Mom Julie Berry has been re-diagnosed with breast cancer.
Two Super Bowl baskets were given away at the Polson/Thompson Falls basketball games on Saturday, Feb. 5, but there are more baskets to buy tickets for. Tickets are $1 each. All proceeds benefit the Berry family.
“Each class picked a theme,” school nurse Amy Knutson said, “and the faculty took the Cats and the Griz.”
Since PMS Vice Principal Tom DiGiallonardo’s son Vince just signed with the Cats, there may be tickets involved, Knutsen said.
Snow day, movie night and chocolate are just some of the themes.
Student Macy Waugh saved up $15 from her allowance. She opened her shiny pink wallet and bought 15 tickets “all going to the chocolate basket.”
There’s still time to purchase tickets and support the Berrys, since the drawing will be held on Friday, Feb. 10.
