POLSON — The Port Polson Players continue their 38th season of Summer Theatre with an evening of Mark Twain-ish humor, at the air conditioned John Dowdall Theatre, on the lake in Polson.
After a successful run this spring, witty comedies “The Diary of Adam and Eve” followed by “When God Comes For Breakfast You Don’t Burn The Toast” are being revived, with four shows only, Thursday through Sunday, this week, Aug. 15 through Aug. 18. Curtain is at 8 p.m. for the Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday.
“Two comedies all in one package,” director Neal Lewing said. “As Twain himself said, ‘Humor is the great thing, the saving thing. The minute it crops up, all our irritations and resentments slip away and a sunny spirit takes their place.’”
The shows are a perfect cap for a lazy summer evening, according to Lewing.
