ST. IGNATIUS — The Flathead Board of Control held a special meeting on Aug. 8 at 11 a.m.
First up was an agenda item to ratify the filing of a suit by the Flathead Joint Board of Control, Boone Cole and Jerry Laskody vs. M. Paul Wadsworth, Jerry Johnson, Kerry Doney and Roger Christopher.
Christopher, Cole, Doney, Johnson, Laskody and Wadsworth are all board members of the FJBC, and the suit was authorized by the FJBC’s litigation committee. The motion carried by a vote of six to five.
Allegedly the suit deals with a recorder left on after an FJBC meeting and the publication of the contents of that tape.
To eliminate any appearance of conflict of interest, the board passed a motion, again by a vote of six to five, to hire Bea Kaleva, Kaleva Law Office in Missoula, to substitute for Jon Metropoulous, FJBC attorney, in the case.
