Editor,
The trustees of the Polson Rural Fire District and the members of the Polson Fire Department would like to thank all of the citizens of the Jette Meadows Owners Association and the Jette Meadows Water Board for the large water source and the hydrants that went into the ground last year in the Jette Meadows subdivision.
We know that this was a very large expense and do appreciate the fact it is available to put out fires in that area.
The Polson Fire Department had training one night in September and was met by Russell Barber, who was happy to show the department the system and the two drafting points. At this time we want to thank Mr. Barber for taking the time to show us. We drove around and hooked up to the hydrants making sure we could.
To the neighbors in the area of the Jette Meadows subdivision, please take the time to thank them for the money and time spent installing the new water system.
It is the hope of the fire chief that when ISO is called in for a re-evaluation of the fire protection classes, regarding insurance rates in this area that the new system will help make a difference in the whole fire district.
