The Polson U16 girls soccer team traveled to Livingston last weekend to play Laurel and Livingston.
Laurel is ranked first in the U16 select division, and Polson tied them 2-2. Libby Lichte scored with an assist from Sarah Howell, and Howell scored the second goal unassisted.
Livingston is a U18 team, and Polson’s U16 team tied them 1-1. Dani Keeler scored off of a kickoff with one single big kick from 10 feet on Polson’s side of the midfield line (the wind was a huge factor in Livingston). The ball flew over half the field and bounced over the goalie’s head.
So far this season, Polson’s record is 1W, 3T, 1L. In the preseason Stevensville tourney, Polson finished 2W, 1T, 1L, good for second place. Their only loss was to Kalispell’s U16 premier team.
