Polson netters struggle on road

Friday was the roughest day on the court so far this season for the Polson boys and girls tennis players. The boys suffered their first team loss of the season to the Corvallis Blue Devils, and the girls were also taken down by the state favorite Corvallis team. Both teams rebounded at Hamilton with impressive 6-1 team wins, even though many players still struggled with consistency.
“As a coach, you know that one or two of these days are out there every season,” head coach Bob Hislop said. “They do give you an opportunity to see what you need to work on.”
Brady Hislop and Dylan McCrumb lost their first matches of the season, Dylan in Corvallis to Alma Powell and Brady in Hamilton to Reese Isherwood. Whitney Zimmerman had a nice singles win in Hamilton over Erica Huppert and the doubles team of Tegan Bauer and Libby Clay played very well in a loss at Corvallis and won at No. 1 singles at Hamilton.
Polson travels to Whitefish Thursday before hosting Columbia Falls and Stevensville on Saturday.
