The Polson boys and girls tennis teams got in some heated action against Whitefish Saturday morning before competition was called off due to rain.
“The Pirates and Lady Pirates both had big days in singles, winning three matches each against our toughest conference opponents,” head coach Bob Hislop said. “Brady (Hislop), Dylan (McCrumb) and Whitney (Zimmerman) continued their dominance in conference. Sophomores Peyton Anderson and Dylan Quinn won well-played matches against the senior-laden Bulldogs. Freshman Quaid Harlan won his No. 3 singles match with a great three-set victory to secure the dual for the Pirates.”
Although the day was mostly disappointing for Polson’s doubles teams, Libby Clay and Tegan Bauer for the girls, and Sam Kinzle and Tyler Dupuis for the boys won matches at No. 2 doubles.
Polson travels to Corvallis and Hamilton Friday.
