The Lady Vikings picked up a pair of wins this week as they downed Thompson falls 43-40 Tuesday before earning a 30-25 win at Arlee Friday.

The Lady Vikings built a large lead after the first three quarters against Arlee Friday but had to hold off a late charge by the Scarlets to earn a five-point win.

The Lady Vikings allowed only two points in each of the first two quarters and took a 14-4 lead into the halftime break. Charlo continued to add to it’s lead in the third frame and took a 24-10 lead into the final eight minutes of play. The fourth quarter belonged to Arlee, though, as the Scarlets used a 15-6 run to close the gap. It was not quite enough to complete the comeback as the Lady Vikings held on to pick up 30-25 win.

Charlo used a balanced scoring attack to pick up the win as Kinley Pope led the way with eight points while Dawn Blevins added six, Rachel Hoyt and Deandra Brown each scored five, Jordan Ludeman had four points and Kelsey Blevins added two.

The first half was again the difference Tuesday night as the Lady Vikings earned a 43-40 win over Thompson Falls. Charlo led by just one after the first quarter but won the second-quarter battle 10-6 to build a 23-18 halftime advantage. Thomson Falls was able to cut the lead to three after three quarters of play but Charlo was able to hold on to pick up the win.

The Vikings were also able to pick up a win on the road at Arlee Friday as they downed the Warriors, 58-48.

A strong second quarter by Charlo was the difference in the game as the Vikings outscored Arlee 16-8 in the second frame to build a 28-17 halftime lead. Both teams scored 13 in the third before Arlee was able to win the fourth-quarter battle 18-17.

Stephen Delaney led the Vikings with 15 points while Chance Rosenbaum added 13 and Kolten Andrews was also in double figures with 10 points. Dillon Delaney scored nine, Garrett Herron had six points, Chico Stripe scored three and Trae Ludeman had two points.
