Area high school sports teams return to action this week

High school sports action makes its return in the Mission Valley this week as several teams will take to the basketball hardwood and wrestling mats.

Things got under way Tuesday evening as the Charlo Lady Vikings were on the road at Thompson Falls while the Vikings took on Thomson Falls at home. Charlo’s wrestlers were also in action Tuesday as they travelled to face Drummond.

Mission’s teams were also in action Tuesday as the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs basketball squads played at Bigfork while the Mission wrestling team was in Drummond.

Ronan’s wrestling team also saw action Tuesday as they traveled to face the Bulldogs in Whitefish.

The Two Eagle River boys will be at home Wednesday evening as they play host to St. Regis in basketball action.

The Polson wrestling team returns to action Thursday evening as the Pirates host Libby beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Also Thursday evening, the Arlee Warrior and Scarlets basketball squads will be at home as they host Hot Springs starting at 5:30 p.m.

Mission’s basketball teams will also be in action Thursday night as the school hosts games against Noxon starting at 5:30 p.m.

Friday will be a very busy sports day around the area as many teams will see action.

The Mission girls will be on the road Friday evening as they play at Troy while the boys will be at home. Both game have a scheduled start of 7 p.m.

The Charlo-Mission wresters will also be in action Friday and Saturday as they travel to Ronan for the Western Montana Duals.

Both Ronan and Polson’s basketball teams continue their seasons Friday as they teams meet up in Polson. The boys will get things started with a 6 p.m. game time.

Ronans wrestlers will also be in action Friday and Saturday as they host the Western Montana Duals.

The Charlo Vikings and Lady Vikings will see basketball action Friday as they play at Arlee. The first game is set to start at 5:30 p.m.

Arlee’s wrestlers will also be in action Friday and Saturday as they are in Ronan at the Western Montana Duals. The Polson Pirates will be there as well.

The Polson basketball teams will travel to Kalispell Saturday as they face off against Glacier. The Lady Pirates get things started at 2 p.m. with the Pirates tipping off at 4 p.m.

Ronan’s basketball squads will also see action Saturday as they travel to face Libby. Games are set to start at 4:30 p.m.

Two Eagle River will be at Lincoln Saturday for basketball action.

The Charlo-Mission wrestlers will travel to Plains Jan. 11 as they face Eureka and Noxon.

Two Eagle River will be in basketball action Jan. 11 as the Eagles travel to face Darby.
