CORVALLIS — The Ronan High School Speech and Drama team finished second place in drama with 49 points, three points behind Corvallis and one point ahead of divisional rival, Libby, at the Dec. 3 and 4 Corvallis Invitational.
Elsie Bold finished in first place in Pantomime for the third time this season followed by Ethen Sheumaker who earned fifth in his first meet of the season. Josie Benedetti and Robert Hocker placed first in Classical Duo Acting, and teammates Jonelle Lauer and Amber Metzger finished in sixth place. Andrew Crenshaw placed sixth in Humorous Solo Acting, and he and partner Josie Benedetti finished in fourth place in Serious Duo Acting. Thomas Oschmann and Bradley Findly finished in eighth place in Serious Duo Acting.
Other RHS students competing were: Jonelle Lauer, Matt Kujala, and Joseph Kuntz in Serious Solo Acting, Jordan Allen and Darian Blixt-Leo in Serious Duo Acting, Kaitlin Farmer and Amber Metzger in Humorous Duo Acting, Thomas Oschmann and Bradley Findly in Humorous Duo, Zachary Big Bow and Dylan Gainan in Humorous Solo Acting, Amber Thingelstad and Savannah Fisher Serious Oral Interpretation of Literature, Shelby Benson and Savannah Fisher in Humorous Oral Interpretation of Literature, and Joseph Dresen in Memorized Public Address.
The Ronan Speech and Drama team headed to Whitefish on Dec. 11 and will host a meet on Jan. 15.
