Very soon Christmas will be here. My wife, Audrey, and I are now in our mid-80s, and we will soon come to the finish line.
A long time ago we have put behind us thoughts of fairies and Santa Claus and are looking forward to celebrating the real reason for Christmas — the glorious incarnation when the invisible God revealed himself in the physical manifestation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The Lord willing, if we should live ‘til Easter, it will not be to celebrate Easter bunnies and Easter eggs, but the glorious proof of our Lord’s deity displayed by his resurrection from the dead.
What a blessed hope. We have so much for which to look forward. We do not have to dread the thought of dying, for we have the wonderful hope of living in our Lord’s glorious presence forever. Hallelujah.
