Earl Stanley McCune
RONAN – Earl Stanley McCune, born March 3, 1925, went to be with his precious Lord on Feb. 25 in Yuma, Arizona. Stanley was born in Rimby, Alberta, Canada to William and Martha McCune. He served in the Canadian Army.
Earl came to the United States Nov. 27, 1947, a date he never forgot. He became a citizen in February of 1954. Earl became a welder and worked for Ace Tank in Seattle for several years, welding black iron, and then decided to become a sheet metal welder and worked in that area until he retired, specializing in kitchen equipment. The company he worked for built the kitchen in the Space Needle, where he spent many long hours.
Earl married Dorothy in 1972. He retired in 1976 and they moved to Montana, settling in the Ronan area. In 1999 they moved to Paradise, Mont. They have spent the winter months in Yuma, Ariz. since 1986.
Earl has three sons and one daugther: David and Paul in Texas, Jon in Florida and Mary Kay in Kansas.
Earl was one of 10 children. He is preceded in death by brothers William and Samuel and sisters Alberta and Violet. He is survived by Robert in Lone Butte, B.C.; Albert in Chehalis, Wash.; Isabelle in Marysville, Wash.; Florence in Darrington, Wash.; Ann in Haney, B.C.
Earl leaves his wife Dorothy, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. One granddaughter preceded him in death.
Earl will be buried in Paradise, Mont., on April 29.
Services will be held at Christian Missionary Alliance Church that day at 11 a.m. A luncheon at the church will follow the burial.
