Thank you and congratulations, Polson Youth Soccer Association.
I think I speak for everyone when I say I came away with tremendous appreciation for all of you who made Sunday’s PYSA Spaghetti Festival such a success. I’ve been going to such things for over 30 years and I can say without reservation this was the best. The organization and spirit could not have been better.
The most brilliant thing was the way you had the kids contributing. When we got to the front door there were two players welcoming us and doing a PR thing (there was something Norman Rockwell-ish about it). Then because you’d already fed the kids, the adults went through the line without waiting. Then these nice kids came around collecting trays and delivering dessert.
A guy sitting by me said, “These kids make me want to contribute more to this.”
By investing the kids, I think you taught them something important about how hard everyone works for them, and about giving back to the community.
The food was so good I’m wondering whether you can do this every week?
