Editor,
Change is never easy, but it can make an enormous difference in maintaining a healthy, vibrant organization. We see the need for such a change in the structure of the Polson School Board.
We look forward to:
A board that values open and respectful communication with students, parents, staff, the community and each other.
A board that is fiscally responsible to the community.
A board that maintains a solid supervisory role of the budget, hiring practices and the superintendent.
A board that values a transparent style of decision-making.
A board that insists on being fully informed before making any decisions.
A board that develops and maintain meaningful partnerships with parents and the community.
Change can invigorate discussion and decision-making by bringing new perspectives to current problems.
For these reasons and many more, we support Nancy Lindsey and Bob Ricketts for Polson School Board. We believe their positive attitude, and forward focus will be beneficial to the students, parents, staff and the community.
