Editor,

It is very tempting for us to reduce our dreams to match the level of what we think we are capable of achieving. But let us instead, increase what we think we are capable of achieving to match the level of our dreams.

The resources for beginning this transformation are free: on YouTube, at the library, at the local Toastmasters meeting. And although some may balk at the suggestion of embracing religion, most churches provide an atmosphere of positivity and spiritual refreshment.

By embracing our own hope, we find the power and willingness to support the hopes of others. And ultimately, we can restore the great American dream to the glory that we inherited through the uncompromised dreams of our forefathers.

Every generation of Americans has its opportunity and its obligation to solve some crisis of circumstance that threatens the integrity of our Republic. We are now facing such a time.

Pretending that we are merely weathering a dip in the ordinary economic flow is an error of judgment. America is at a turning point. What we do during these next few years, months, and even days, will mean everything to our future as a culture, and as a stable economic world power.

The most vital key to successfully resolving a crisis is to recognize it for what it is.

We need to be alarmed ... not into despair, but into action. And that action begins with the rekindling within each of us the individual flames of hope that our personal dreams can become a reality. We are the unitary building blocks of all that is good and powerful in the United States.

When we fan our individual aspirations into a white heat of desire, we will then inevitably do all the things and find all the resources necessary to achieve those aspirations, regardless of how complex or elusive the means may be.

When the desire is strong enough, even the belief will materialize. And belief is the power that feeds the engines of creativity and action.

It is through the perfect economy of divine providence that our individual lights naturally merge into a unified beacon that better illuminates the path for each individual, the community, the nation, and even the world. This is the beauty of the social creature.

The world needs more light, and those who see the light are the light itself. This is our time to shine.
