Editor,
The Sew and So Club, formerly the “Coulee Dozen” was started in 1911.
In celebration of our 100 years we have made a wall hanging with the original members names included. These ladies were family members of homesteaders that lived three to four miles west of Ronan in what is now called the Round Butte area.
Original members names were: Isabelle Trendily, Pauline Olson, Helen Guenzler, Lena Schmuchler, Marie Vaughan, Kate Orchard, Daisy McConnell, Elsie and Lena Johnson, Nellie Dumas, Marie Smith, Mary Loosemare and Fannie Langford.
Anyone with photos or information that could be shared at our celebration during the Lake County Fair are encouraged to call our club historian Clara Miller at 676-2047 or Sandy Baertsch at 676-2064. Please leave a phone number if you can’t reach us. Thank you.
Sandy Baertsch
