Editor,

Some of the absurdities we are witnessing from our political parties and individuals in the name of solving our national crises are laughable, if the situation were not so serious.

The manner in which our health care system is being reviewed for reform is ludicrous. The manner in which the debt ceiling crisis is being played out is ludicrous. The manner in which things of a most private and personal nature, such as abortion and sexual lifestyle choices, are being thrust into the arena of national politics is ludicrous. The manner in which spending billions and billions each year supporting our grand military presence and power throughout the world is ludicrous.

So, just add your own favorites to this list. I'm sure you can.

In my opinion, the manner in which these real and present problems are being addressed is a very fundamental problem to how they will ultimately be resolved. And most of the "manner" has to do purely with politics, re-election focus, and not about crafting solutions that are best for our nation.

Isn't this a sorry sight? Isn't this ludicrous? Isn't this a most blatant miscarriage of justice for America and each of us citizens? Isn't this scary? Isn't this a call for reasonable people to stand up, as a powerful voting bloc, saying "Enough already?"

What do you think? What are your opinions on what I have said here?

I think we really need to have an effective and powerful public dialogue about these things instead of just reading the papers or turning on the radio and TV and acquiescing to much of the very pointed propaganda we constantly get from Washington, D.C., and news media entertainers, disguised as reporters, funded by very wealthy and often narrow-minded media owners.

Now that's what I would call an effective revolution.
